Objective
Billions of plastic pill bottles end up in landfills every year which lead to toxic and harmful effects on the planet’s ecosystems. How do we come up with a recyclable pill bottle that doesn’t harm the environment and how do we create a campaign that can spread the word of such an initiative.

The team at Tikkun Olam Makers in partnership with Saatchi & Saatchi Wellness created the Prescription Paper Pill Bottle, which is the first 100% compostable paper pill bottle. When the bottle is empty it can be thrown into a compost bin to decompose. Our team at Saatchi & Saatchi Wellness wanted to create a campaign that was as unique as the Prescription Paper Pill Bottle, leveraging printed, digital, and social mediums to spread the word about this life changing idea. This initiative not only garnered various awards and honors but it started a conversation about sustainability in the pharmaceutical industry.
