Obejctive
Born in Waco, Texas, Robert Wilson is among the world’s foremost theater and visual artist. His works for the stage integrate a wide variety of artistic media, including dance, movement, lighting, sculpture, music, and text. His latest piece titled (produced by Corning Museum of Glass) A Boy From Texas is in part an homage to his close friend and collaborator, the late Paul Thek, who was known for his life size fantasy works. Cristina Grajales Gallery in cooperation with Paula Cooper Gallery is presenting the work at Art Basel Miami. In order for a successful opening they needed a comprehensive print and digital campaign for the exhibition that embodied Robert’s vision for the work.
Solution
To garner as much attention as possible before the exhibition opening it was of utmost importance to promote the exhibit in Cultured Magazine’s Winter Issue along with paid posts on Cultured’s Instagram account. Social media posts promoting the exhibit are also to be released in accordance to brand guidelines on Cristina Grajales Gallery, Paula Cooper Gallery and Robert Wilson’s channels. A full two page spread featured in Cultured Magazine’s winter issue is rarely seen for an exhibition campaign, however the work called for it.
